Will Dragovic now be Manchester United bound

David Moyes was linked with bringing Aleksandar Dragovic to Everton. Could he sign him for Manchester United instead?

Last month Everton were claimed to be in pole position to sign Austrian centre-back Aleksandar Dragovic, but in light of David Moyes' exit from the club it is fair to say that deal is no longer on.

The Toffees may well resurrect the deal when they appoint a new manager, but the longer their search goes on for a new boss, the more chance is they could be too late to the defender.

This is because the Basel centre-back has been busy talking about his future in the light of his club's defeat in the Swiss Cup Final, and is keen to make a move to England.

And if David Moyes is still considering him as an option to bring to his new club, now he is getting his feet under the table at Old Trafford, recent comments from the defender may give him food for thought.

Dragovic is quoted as saying: "My goal is to play in England. I hope to retrace the steps and the career of my model: Nemanja Vidic of Manchester United."
